Description
Carapace like Cavellina in shape and contact of valves but somewhat smaller, posterodorsal cardinal angle slightly sharper than anterodorsal in some forms, posterior margin bordered by distinct ridge. Surface smooth, except for shallow sulcus which extends from dorsal margin to a pronounced submedian pit.
